About Peter Dahlen

I hope you will vote for me.
I have lived in Northfield for 34 years. I am a lawyer, and I run a business in Northfield to help others arbitrate and mediate workplace disputes. I am married to a college professor (now retired). We raised two children who went through the public school system (Greenvale, Bridgewater, Middle School & High School.)
I have served on the Northfield Public Safety Committee (to advise the police chief) and the Charter Commission including a stint as chair.
The government is us. That is the beauty of democracy. Whoever we elect has to earn and keep earning the voter’s trust.
A Thriving Downtown & Happy Citizens
Most days every week, I walk on Division Street. The array and quality of businesses (on and off Division) are wonderful. I want them all to succeed and we can have a government which has the same goal.
The residents of Northfield have come from every country, whether it was emigration from 150 years ago or this past year. Immigration is a federal issue. And eventually Congress will change immigration laws. We will and we ought to welcome everyone; they are part of the fabric of our life.
The vibrancy of downtown is extremely important. We need locals and visitors to buy.
And we are all happier if things function normally and competently.
“. . . always prepared for the meetings, sensible in his analysis, thoughtful in his comments, courageous in his vote. I strongly support his candidacy as 3rd Ward City Council representative..”
